Head of Production & Co-Producer - Wooden Horse (August 2019 - Present)

Alexandra is the Head of Production and Co-Producer at Wooden Horse. She works closely alongside producing partners Jude Troy and Richard Finlayson across a slate of premium scripted series and films with a number of producing and platform partners including Stan, Disney+, ABC, SBS and Warner Bros.

Alexandra was a co-producer on the upcoming second season of Mother and Son for the ABC and iview, starring Matt Okine and Denise Scott, having served as an associate producer on the first season. She was also the associate producer on the award winning premium drama series THE CLEARING for Disney+ (Hulu in the US); and 90 minute feature documentary THE CAPE for Stan, which premiered in competition at the 70th Annual Sydney Film Festival (2023).

Alexandra helped to oversee post production on feature documentary ROSE GOLD which premiered on ABC and iView following a national cinema release through Madman Entertainment, and she was the development manager on the first season of STUFF THE BRITISH STOLE with Marc Fennell.

Alexandra was Wooden Horse’s first employee, having joined the company in 2019 as Development and Production Coordinator before moving into a Development and Production Manager role. She was then an Associate Producer with the company before stepping into her current role as Head of Production and Co-Producer. Alexandra continues to work across Wooden Horse's premium slate of scripted projects with some of Australia's finest creatives and practitioners, and is building her own slate of projects with Wooden Horse out of the Melbourne office, which she heads up.

Production Manager & Post-Production Supervisor - A Good Family Mini Pilot (July 2019 - October 2019)

Alexandra worked as a production manager, line producer, production co-ordinator, production secretary, location manager, post-production supervisor and 2nd assistant director on the mini pilot for Sex In The West. She was responsible for overseeing the production budget, executing contracts, scouting and managing locations, designing pre and post production schedules, constructing call sheets and working out the logistics of the two day shoot. She also played a role in casting talent and choosing crew to board the project.

Producer’s Attachment - The Other Guy Season Two (March 2019 - May 2019)

As a Producer’s Attachment working with Aquarius Films’ Angie Fielder, Polly Staniford and Alice Willison on The Other Guy Series 2, my responsibilities included amending scripts, coordinating casting, executing deal memos, overseeing production, and managing publicity. I was also in charge of directing, producing, shooting and editing The Other Guy’s EPK package for Stan’s online platform.

Freelance Production Coordinator (December 2018 - July 2019)

Coordinator duties include creating production budgets and schedules; drafting applications for funding, councils and working with children checks; and sourcing crew, production parking spaces and locations. Projects where I worked as a production coordinator include several Lendlease TVCs produced by In The Thicket, and Tim Minchin’s 15 Minutes of Shame music video, produced by Jungle Entertainment.

Freelance Video Producer (March 2018 - Present)

Director, producer, shooter and editor of a diverse range of video content for small businesses, startups, not-for-profits, major media corporations and publishers. I’m involved in the production of documentaries, commercials, promotional videos, demonstration videos, social videos, online content, events and more. Clients include Stan, FBi Radio, Batyr, Jungle Entertainment, The Australian, Studio Hackett, New Idea and Who. The I Am series I edited for Batyr was pivotal in helping them gain $2.8 million in federal funding for youth mental health services.

Production runner for A Place To Call Home Series 6. Responsibilities included transporting cast and crew between accommodation, studio and shooting locations; transporting rushes; distributing production paperwork, and general administrative duties in the production office.

Video Journalist, The Australian (August 2015 - January 2017) 

As part of The Australian’s video team, I was responsible for creating and curating visual content for the newspaper’s digital platform and social media pages. I was involved in all end-to-end processes of video production including researching stories, sourcing talent, conducting interviews, writing scripts, recording voiceovers, shooting, editing and publishing. During my time at The Australian I created and published on average two or more videos a day, and consistently met short-term and long-term deadlines. I worked closely with the Senior Video Producer to improve and refine the product, which led original content views on Facebook to increase from 2,000 to over 10,000 within a year. I also liaised with the social media team to produce socially-focused videos designed to drive traffic on The Australian’s social media channels. Our team’s innovative approach to the social video product took the average number of views from 5,000 to over 50,000 within a year. I also created The Australian’s best performing video, Cuttlefish hunting prey, which gained over 27 million views, 408,000 shares and reached 40 million people. As a result, The Australian’s Facebook page gained over 80,000 new likes in one week.
